Who We Are
The Sini Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to supporting African talents in sports. The foundation’s mission is to provide essential amenities and opportunities to empower young and talented individuals to achieve their personal and competitive goals. The foundation provides resources such as equipment, facilities, training, coaching, and other necessary tools to help African talents reach their full potential in their chosen sports. The foundation also organizes events, competitions, and other activities to promote sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community involvement. The ultimate goal of the Sini Foundation is to develop the next generation of African athletes and promote a culture of healthy living and physical fitness in their communities. By providing support and opportunities to African talents, the Sini Foundation seeks to create a positive impact on the lives of these individuals and their communities.

Power of Impact

Mo Bamba Court Program (Aug 2022)

On August 23rd, 2022, Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia, the president of the Sini Foundation, partnered with the Mo Bamba Foundation to unveil the two FIBA-spec basketball courts that had been renovated in the SOS Village Abobo-Gare, Ivory Coast. The newly improved courts are now able to serve over 200 children daily, providing them with a safe and fun place to play and access to weekly after-school academic tutoring and basketball skill development programs. The unveiling event was held in the presence of Mo Bamba, who brought over 100 pairs of shoes from his Orlando Magic teammates and 100 high-performance insoles from Move Insoles to donate to the Côte d’Ivoire basketball development program. The SOS Village Abobo-Gare is located just 10 miles away from where Mo Bamba’s extended family resides, making this project even more meaningful to him. The Sini Foundation and the Mo Bamba Foundation are proud to have contributed to the community and hope to continue supporting African youth in sports.

Meta Africa Sports Mali U17 Basketball Program (DEC 2022 - Mar 2023)

The SINI Program has partnered with Meta Africa Sports to organize Mali’s first ever multi-district U17 basketball tournament, which was a historic event for the country. Many of the participants had never had the opportunity to participate in an official tournament before. The tournament was held across six districts in Bamako, and featured teams from each district. The tournament not only provided an opportunity for the young players to showcase their skills, but also promoted teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition. The SINI Program and Meta Africa Sports are proud to have organized this tournament and to have made a positive impact on the lives of the young basketball players in Mali. The winners of each district will have the opportunity to face off in a stadium in front of scouts, recruiters and a large crowd which will be an unforgettable experience for the young athletes.

Our Board members

Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia

President

Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia, the President of the Sini Foundation, was born and raised in Mali. He had his MBA at Cal State Fullerton in the United States and was a key player on the basketball team that won the 2021-2022 Big West Conference Championship. With his passion for basketball and desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in Africa, he co-founded the Sini Foundation.

EJ Anosike

President of Athletic & brand relations (North America & Europe)

EJ Anosike, professional basketball player who has played in the South Korean KBL and NBA G League (Texas Legends) during the 2022/2023 season. He currently plays for the Winnipeg Seabears of the CEBL. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Business Economics from Sacred Heart University and a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Economics from the University of Tennessee.
